Emporia Patterns - Iris Top Pattern

Iris is a casual top that features three quarter length sleeves, a ruffle at the shoulder and split side hems. Easy to sew, with only two long darts from neck to bust, the pattern also includes an option for a full f1lutter sleeve, giving a summery feel. Alternatively, why not leave off the sleeves altogether and bind your hems for a simple cami top?

Iris is the perfect blend of simple design with interesting detail - that ruffle and the side split are just crying out for some attention. Great with jeans, skirts or shorts in the summer, this is a hugely versatile blouse that can be dressed up or down to suit your mood or the fabric you choose. Light-weight cotton is perfect for beginners or those new to sewing, but if you fancy a slightly more luxurious feel then go for lawn, sateen or even silk.
